Public value competitions

Compete to build something that matters.

BAMF Challenges gives teams a serious place to develop, test and explain AI systems against measurable public-value goals. Teams may be enterprise, startup, research, nonprofit or independent.

Flagship challenge

The BAMF Public Value AI Challenge

Build an AI system that produces a measurable public benefit—and prove it under independent testing. Each accepted track will publish its baseline, affected users, outcome metric, safety constraints and evaluation method before teams build.

Entry model

Free entry · skill-based evaluation

Recognition comes from demonstrated outcomes, safety, reproducibility and accountability—not popularity, paid access or a hidden standard.

Who can enter

Enterprise teams
Startup and small business
University and research
Nonprofit and public sector
Independent and solo

What keeps it credible

Rules V1.0, scoring criteria and eligibility are frozen before submissions are reviewed.
Sealed testing, conflict disclosures and independent scoring protect the result from popularity contests.
Finalists provide provenance, limitations, reproducibility evidence and a public result receipt.

For teams

Bring a real system, a clear beneficiary and evidence that it works. Corporate affiliation is shown as claimed until independently verified.

For organizers

Create a challenge around a defined problem, publish the rubric, assign reviewers and preserve the complete decision record.

For spectators

Follow the work and create your own free forecasts about public milestones. Forecasts never change a competition score.
